Formally incorporated in the year 1998, Dhoot Transmission Ltd. is one of the prominent players within the electrical and electronics (E&E) industry in India that produces wiring harnesses, battery packs, sensors, electronic controls, and automotive switches.
The company provides its products to ICE and electric vehicles across two-wheelers, three-wheelers, commercial vehicles, and other industrial segments. It has 22 production units in India, the UK, Slovakia, and Thailand, along with engineering, design, and warehouse facilities around key automotive clusters.
The company adopts a manufacturing-integrated, product development, backward integration, and OEM partnership strategy for its operations.
On December 31, 2025, the company had employed 2,681+ personnel, of which included a strong engineering and research and development function.
Some of the top OEM customers served by the company include Bajaj Auto, TVS Motor Company, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., and Royal Enfield.

Dhoot Transmission Limited finalised its anchor investor allocation on August 7, 2026, raising ₹918.27 crore from 72 institutional investors at an anchor price of ₹871 per share.

The anchor book comprises 1,05,42,657 equity shares allocated across domestic mutual funds, life insurance companies and pension funds, foreign portfolio investors, alternative investment funds, and one NBFC. Domestic mutual funds received 61.27% of the anchor allocation through 8 fund houses across 46 schemes, including SBI Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, HDFC Mutual Fund, Axis Mutual Fund, Mirae Asset Mutual Fund, Nippon India Mutual Fund, Tata Mutual Fund, and HSBC Mutual Fund. Life insurance companies and pension funds received 8.74%, led by SBI Life Insurance, HDFC Life Insurance, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Bajaj Life Insurance, and multiple Axis Max Life Insurance schemes.

Leading foreign portfolio investors include Ashoka WhiteOak Emerging Markets Equity Fund and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (combined 5.44% across two accounts), Government Pension Fund Global, BlackRock Global Funds, and Allianz Global Investors, together accounting for 25.03% of the allocation. The remaining allocation was split between alternative investment funds (4.10%) and a single NBFC participant, Chartered Finance & Leasing Limited (0.83%).
